Book Title: The Man Called Cash
Author: Steve Turner
Category: Biography
Pages: 286
Summary: This book starts at the begining of his life, but continues on past where Man in Black: His Own Story in His Own Words left off. This is the complete tell of the life of Johnny Cash.

From the point that the man in black leaves off consists of about 25
more years of the mans life. He started doing alot of gospel albums,
invested time in some religious movies, became really aware spiritually.
During this time Cash slipped back into drugs. He began taking the pills
again. Than just as before, with the help mainly of June but also the
rest of his family he overcame the struggle again.

Although he always stayed working, his career in the public eye stayed idle for years.
Than while trying to appeal to a new generation he met a young producer named Rick
Rubin. Cash spent the last ten years of his life working with Rubin. Rubin helped
invigorate a passion in Cash that had seemed to disappear.

Sometime during the mid-80’s Cash was attacked on his ranch by an ostirich. For the
rest of his life, he would be in and out of hospitals. Then in 2003, with Cash in a
wheelchair by her side, June Carter Cash passed away. With the love of his life gone
it only took a few months before The Great Johnny Cash passed away aswell.
